Quiet

If I've been unusually silent lately, it's because I'm writing my posts for the A-Z blog challenge. I know there are writers who can whip out high quality blogposts at the last minute, but I am not one of them.

No, in my case, I'll write a post and then rewrite it at least five times before I feel that it's ready. And even then I get nervous that I've missed a few typos or could have written a certain part better.

I'm up to "L" and will be starting on "J" today. I plan to write one a day. That way I can be half done when I start posting what I've written on Sunday, April 1st.

On that note I must tell you that my knees are shaking because I'm trying to tackle some taboo topics like religion, spiritual manifestations, and whether or not Satan is real. I'm laying bits of my soul on the line for people to read, and I knew there's a huge risk in that. I'd turn on my blog moderation function except I don't want to make commenting harder during the A-Z challenge. Hopefully, everyone will be polite.

Are you participating in the challenge this year? What do you have planned?

Good for you, Angela. I, of course, am far too lazy to do the challenge. I'm looking forward to reading your posts though. And yes, I'll be polite. :)

Wow - those are quite the topics. I look forward to reading them - sounds like you've put a lot of thought into it.

Can't wait to read your posts. I like reading others takes on taboo subjects.

I'm not participating this year. Our spring break is always in April.

That sounds an amazing A to Z topic. I'm nowhere near as organised as you but I do have all my Nostalgia ideas written out in rough.

Hi Angela - it's my first time visiting your place...
Yes, I'm participating in the A-Z challenge. I will be posting short musically-themed fiction pieces...

You are very brave to tackle "so-called" taboo subjects - I think that it's good to "push the boundaries" and anyway, bloggers should keep an open mind...

Angela, we have missed you! My posts are all ready to go. Not a chance I want to be writing them last minute.

I think your topics sound intriguing. But I don't blame you for turning on comment moderation :-)
I'm participating, too, but on a much lighter subject: the 1980s. Plus, I signed up the blog I have for my son to educate people about Trisomy 18.

I won't be in the challenge. At the moment I am struggling to find the time to put up my "What is it Wednesday posts."
Good luck with your run at it!

I toyed with the idea of doing a-z for about 10 minutes. Then I looked at how huge the list is and realized this just isn't the year for me. I can't possibly visit even half of 1400 blogs and not lose my day job.

I do think, however, that I'll be writing some posts for National Poetry Month. Just not every day.

These sound like some great topics. And I think the bloggers who leave comments will be nice--they usually are. Personally I like the challenge of a hearty debate.

Way to take a risk! And I have to write posts ahead too. I'm probably not doing the challenge this year, but I loved doing it last year and I'll be checking out everyone else's posts.

Thanks for your kind words on my blog.

Good for you for picking hard topics!

And by the way, I got your book in the mail yesterday. So thrilled to finally have it my hands. I've been savoring them one by one. :)

Looking forward to reading your poems. I'm participating in the challenge, but (a) I don't have a theme, & (b) I've only completed my first post. You've become my idol, LOLZ! :)

I agree. Thank you for choosing hard topics. I am such a wimp, I don;t think I could do it, but I look forward to following your blog.
