Adopt-a-Book Friday

Without thinking I signed up for DL Hammons' "Significant other blogfest." You can sign up at his website here, if you want to join me. But the blogfest is on Friday, January 21st, which means I won't be putting up books to adopt on that day. So instead of posting two possible books to adopt today and giving away one of them next week, I will post three books and give away two on Friday the 28th of January.

Which is good, because I decided to give two of the three books away from last week instead of one.

Why?

I don't know. It just feels mean to give only one of those three beautiful books away when so many people left comments saying they wanted them. Like I'm holding up a carrot in front of one of my little ones and refusing to hand it over at the last minute or something. Maybe I take this kind of thing too seriously.

Anyway, here are the winners from last week:

Madeleine for Kissing Games of the World
Lisa for Princess of the Midnight Ball

And here are three more books, two of which I'll give away on the 28th. (Note, if you signed up for Matched last week, you don't have to leave another comment. I'll automatically count you in, unless you would rather go for a different selection. In which case, you can write it in the comments section below.)

Matched by Ally Condie

Genre: Dystopian

I am a Genious of Unspeakable Evil and I want to be your Class President by Josh Lieb

Genre: humorous

Torn to Pieces by Margot McDonnell

Genre: mystery/suspense

The rules for entering to adopt a book are:

1. Be a follower.
2. Write in the comments section below which book you want to take home.
3. (Optional) Share adopt-a-book Friday via blog, facebook, or twitter. If you do this, I'll enter your name in one extra time. But tell me in the comments so I know.

Happy Friday everyone!

Matched sounds intriguing. This book giveaway should really increase your following! I'm enjoying reading your Dictionary of Bio-Signs entries, especially the literary applications.

I love your concept of 'adopt a book.' All of these are ones I'd like to read. Love the covers too, and they are all so different.

I loved Matched. Such a good book. I've picked up "I am a Genius..." several times but never bought it so I think that would be my choice if I won. Thanks for the giveaway!
